Project description

Phase 2 of the KU Gateway District is a mixed-use development that will serve as the northern entrance to campus.

The project consists of the redevelopment of the east side of David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium, a below-grade parking garage, and an activated public event plaza above the garage. In a development partnership with Sunflower Development, Edgemoor will complete these components by the start of the 2027 football season.

To round out the Gateway District, the Edgemoor/Sunflower team is also master planning and developing a cohesive mix of student housing, hospitality, retail, and dining centered around the plaza, creating a placemaking hub for the community and the campus.
