Reporting to a Development Manager, the primary roles and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Support development project execution:
- Prepare and administer RFP’s for subconsultants and bid scope
- Assist in drafting contracts for subconsultants
- Coordinate with architect, engineer, interior designers, project managers and other team members
- Prepare monthly update reports
- Prepare offering memorandums to assist with sourcing project financing
- Financial analysis and budgeting
- Research/obtain permits and entitlements
- Develop and manage a project small/minority business plan
- RFI tracking
- Curate the property management / activation strategy
- Leasing, marketing, public relations and community outreach
- Assist with administrative tasks such as creating team contact lists, calendars, agendas, etc.
Support new project pursuits:
- Research stakeholders and conduct a competitor analysis
- Research zoning, master plan information and new development pipeline
- Conduct a market analysis and preliminary due diligence
- Client outreach including research on potential new clients
- Create a soft cost budget including building and permit fees
- Proposal development (i.e., drafting response sections, creating project pro formas/budgets, developing presentations)
- Perform financial analysis of various opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong communication (written and verbal), organization, multi-tasking, (including an attention to detail)
- Experience working in fast-paced environments (or willingness to do so)
- Open, team-oriented yet self-starting work style
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information and respond to questions/inquiries from senior staff, peers, business associates, and the general public
- Strong technology and internet research skills
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated to “own” your work
- Advanced skills in MS Office applications, including Excel and Word
- High ethical standards
- Familiarity with real estate finance, public finance and/or project finance (a plus)
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
0 - 3 years of relevant work experience
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Undergraduate degree in real estate, finance, construction, engineering, architecture, or other related field.
